The Observatory database

Regione Emilia-Romagna and CRC Emilia-Romagna have been working together with local municipalities since 2003 to create and upload a complete database with the several e-government projects and the related formative activities.

Database has been built not only to offer a periodical picture of the Emilia-Romagna Information Society, of its strengths and its weaknesses, and to better see how new techonologies are changing our way of living, but also to understand how Public Administration’s activity can influence this process and the direction of the new services. The digitalisation of all the project informations can also help to share experiences and expertizes.

The informations related to the e-government projects in the Osservatorio basically deal with:

• The geographical areas where the projects will be realized and developed;
• The services that will be available to the citizens and the enterprises, classified by life events;
• The infratructural services (nets, security, autentication...) that will be realized;
• The Public Administration’s sectors involved in e-government services (economic planning, informative systems ...)
• The endowment channels of the different services;
• The financing dimensions and typologies, i.e. the investments, on e-government projects.

The informations related to the formative activities about innvoative issues in the Osservatiorio basically deal with:

• Formative thematical areas;
• Adressees typologies and number;
• The realizers of the initiative;
• The costs and the different financing modes;
• The Public Administration’s sectors interested in formative activities;
• The method’s and the tools used;
